What this policy covers
This policy covers the personal data we process about visitors to this website. It does not cover the data our customers collect and store inside QReport itself. There we act as data processor on the customer's behalf, and the terms are set out in the data processing agreement we sign with each customer. Contact us if you need a copy.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get read and how visitors find them. We use that to make the pages better. We do not use the information for advertising, and we do not sell it on.
Nothing happens until you say yes
You are asked the first time you visit. If you say no — or simply do not answer — no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. The site works exactly as before: content, forms and the savings calculator all work without it.
What is set if you say yes
- _ga and _ga_<id> — Google Analytics' own cookies, which tell one visit from another. They expire after two years.
- Information is sent about which page you are viewing, which language and device you use, and where you came from. Your IP address is anonymised.
- A few interactions are recorded too: how far down a page you scroll, clicks on links that lead away from the site, playback of the product videos, and whether you begin filling in the contact form. Not what you type into it — only that you started.
Google's advertising features (Google Signals) are switched off on our account, so the data is used for statistics only. Google Ireland Limited is the data processor, and data may be transferred to the USA in that connection.
What the site stores whichever you choose
The site remembers two things locally in your browser: the language you last viewed the site in, and your answer to the analytics question. Both stay in your own browser and are not sent anywhere.
Changing your mind
Click Cookies at the bottom of any page to change your choice. If you turn analytics off, we delete the cookies Google Analytics has set straight away. We ask again after a year.
The contact form
If you write to us through the form on our contact page, we receive your name, your email address, the subject you selected and your message. A phone number is optional. We use all of it to answer your enquiry and, where you ask for one, to arrange a demo.
The legal basis is the consent you give by ticking the box on the form, together with our legitimate interest in replying to an enquiry you have sent us. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@q-inspect.com.
The form is delivered to us by Web3Forms, operated by Web3Creative, which processes the submission on our behalf and forwards it to us by email. Nothing you type is stored on this website.
Where your message travels
Web3Creative operates from India, so a message sent through the form is transferred outside the EU and the EEA. The transfer is covered by a data processing agreement that incorporates the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Web3Creative in turn uses its own sub-processors. Among them are spam-filtering services based in the United States, which receive the sender's IP address and email address in order to judge whether a submission is genuine, and cloud hosting on which the submission is stored.
A submission stays on Web3Creative's systems for up to three years, regardless of how long we keep our own copy. If you would like your message removed sooner, write to info@q-inspect.com and we will arrange it.
If you would rather not use the form at all, you are always welcome to email or call us directly. Our address and phone number are at the bottom of this page.
Newsletter
The form carries a separate, optional box for our monthly newsletter. It is never ticked for you, and leaving it empty makes no difference to your enquiry. If you tick it, we use your email address to send the newsletter until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by writing to us. The legal basis is your consent.
Other data we receive
Web server logs
Our web server keeps ordinary access logs: which page was requested, when, from which browser and from which IP address. We use them to run the site and to detect abuse, and we keep them only as long as that requires. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
The map on our contact page
Our contact page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap so you can see where we are. When that map loads, your IP address is disclosed to the OpenStreetMap Foundation, who supply it. The map is only loaded once you scroll down to it, and our address is written out in text beside it, so you never have to load the map to find us.
Links to other services
The site links to the App Store, Google Play, LinkedIn and to our own QReport login at qmaster.q-inspect.com. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Who we share data with
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal data. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and no decisions about you are made automatically.
The only parties who receive personal data from this website are the processors named above: Web3Forms for the contact form, Google Ireland Limited for analytics where you have consented, and the OpenStreetMap Foundation for the map. We may also disclose data where the law requires it of us.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as it takes to answer and follow up on it, and, where it leads to a customer relationship, for as long as that relationship lasts and any record-keeping obligation requires. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set on our Google Analytics account. Write to us if you want to know what we hold about you.
How we protect your data
The site is served over HTTPS only, and it sets a content security policy that limits what a browser is allowed to load on it. Access to enquiries is limited to the people at Miracle Q-Inspect who need it in order to answer you. We neither ask for nor receive payment details through this website.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data about you corrected;
- have your data erased — if it is a user account you want removed, see Slet din konto;
- have our processing restricted, or object to it;
- receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable form;
- withdraw a consent at any time, without that affecting what we lawfully did before you withdrew it.
Write to info@q-inspect.com to exercise any of these. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, DK-2500 Valby, Denmark (datatilsynet.dk).
Children
This website is aimed at professionals and organisations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If a data breach occurs
If a personal data breach occurs and it is likely to present a risk, we report it to Datatilsynet within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and we inform the people affected without undue delay where the risk to them is high.
Changes to this policy
We revise this page whenever what we do changes.
